Types of Medications Dispensed

Urological Associates of Savannah currently provides the following specialty medications through its Specialty Dispensary:

  • Anti-androgen
  • Corticosteroids

These medications are dispensed at the facility. The facility will comply with Georgia Composite Medical Board laws and rules concerning physician dispensing.

Eligibility Criteria & Referral Process

Urological Associates of Savannah’s Specialty Dispensary specializes in providing specialty drugs to established patients of Urological Associates of Savannah, PC. Patients can only be referred, therefore, to our Specialty Dispensary by physicians who practice at Urological Associates of Savannah.

  1. Must have valid prescription for all prescription products
  2. For any medication, patient must have a prescription written by a physician of Urological Associates of Savannah, PC
  3. Referrals are made through an automated process through the use of an electronic medical record system

Patient’s Financial Responsibility

All copays and patient payment responsibilities are due at the point of sale/time of service. If the patient has any questions or concerns about the amount that is due, the Dispensary employee is required to investigate and give an explanation of that service until the patient fully understands why they are providing that amount.

Hours of Operation

Our Specialty Dispensary is open Monday thru Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. We are closed on New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day (and usually the day following), and Christmas Day. We reserve the right to close in case of emergencies or other clinic closings as designated by management.

For after hours need, you may contact us by phoning 912-790-4000 and our answering service will connect you with the physician on call. There is a physician call schedule in which physicians are available to patients 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. All physicians have the contact phone number and email of the Physician in Charge and the Director of Dispensary at all times in case of emergency.
